About Ben Mangano
Ben has been painting for over 35 years. He spent time living in the Australian outback during the early 1970's where he developed a fascination for painting the crisp and contrasting colours of northern Australia. The allure of the Australian outback is manifest in the vivid colour, freedom and application of raw energy emanating from his paintings.
Artist Statement
"I am inspired by the wonder of the Australian landscape and find the vast emptiness, surreal colour and awesome stillness of the outback enchanting and somewhat overwhelming.
I seek to express the authenticity of the Australian landscape in the creation of art work which captures the vitality and diversity of rugged Australia while bringing life to the living space in which the artwork is displayed.
Attaining freedom in what I do is the basis of my challenge."
